Safety Supervisor

About the role

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Safety Supervisor in Corpus Christi, TX. In this role, you will provide HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) support and leadership to an EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) project at a client facility. You’ll serve as a business partner working with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, and Construction Manager to lead HSE excellence and deliver a project that ensures no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity.

You’ll support BeyondZero performance, aligning with the Line of Business’ (LOB) vision and strategic plans, while providing overall leadership, management, and direction to the team and client. This role requires personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm, driving strategies and performance, and supporting continuous improvement.

The role involves maintaining open communication with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, and peer HSE team members to provide technical guidance, ensure alignment, and assure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support project HSE strategic plans and objectives.

The only travel anticipated with this role is to and from the project site. Future project assignments may require additional travel within the U.S. and potentially North America.

Responsibilities

• Establish working relationships to provide visible support and leadership to all client and stakeholders by offering interpretation, training, technical review, regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program.
• Lead and support the incident notification, investigation, and reporting process, as well as facilitate injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Develop and review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables.
• Participate as required in operational readiness reviews or other forums relevant to project success.
• Cater to multiple stakeholders—supporting HSE staff in the field, providing leadership and vision for Project and Construction Managers, ensuring subcontractor success, and fostering a culture of inclusion and care for craft workforce stakeholders.
• Role model and demonstrate a culture of inclusion and caring while delivering a project approach that ensures workers go home safely every day.
• Perform administrative duties while prioritizing fieldwork and relationship-building with team members delivering the project.

Requirements

• Associate degree or 2-3 years of relative HSE experience.
• 1-2 years of working experience in the industrial/construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• “Fit for Duty” status.
• Possess a current U.S. driver’s license.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local agency requirements.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $59,900.00 to $78,600.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
