About the role
Responsible for providing safety, risk management, and educational services to cultivate a safe work environment, reduce accidents, and minimize injuries. This position also coordinates and assists with the company's Industrial Hygiene program.
Responsibilities
- Participates in and assists with work-site and hazardous duty crew inspections.
- Supports the company's Industrial Hygiene program, including vendor contact, respirator fit testing, dosimeter studies, noise surveys, Hazard Communication compliance, and other associated duties.
- Conducts and assists with in-depth investigations of industrial safety-related incidents, preparing detailed reports with findings and recommendations for future avoidance.
- Coordinates with Learning and Development to provide safety education for employees, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assists with semi-annual safety training for all hazardous duty employees.
- Maintains working knowledge of applicable Federal and State OSHA standards and provides information to all company functions.
- Applies knowledge of local or state-required safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Administration, Safety Engineering, or a technical or science-related field preferred, plus 2 years of experience in distribution, power delivery, generation, or safety/industrial hygiene, or
- Associate's Degree in Safety Administration, Safety Engineering, or a technical or science-related field plus 5 years of experience in distribution, power delivery, generation, or safety/industrial hygiene, or
- High School Diploma/GED plus 7 years of experience in distribution, power delivery, generation, or safety/industrial hygiene required.
Pay
$67,720 – $105,210 (minimum to mid-point). Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, and qualifications.
