Safety & Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Identify and address security violations, taking appropriate action to protect facilities, guests, property, and employees.
• Conduct investigations into security violations or policy infractions, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary.
• Implement and maintain safety and security protocols, including training employees in safety practices and responding to emergencies.
• Monitor deliveries and security systems, documenting incidents and making recommendations for improvements.
• Assist in managing guest and employee safety, providing immediate assistance during emergencies and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Support cross-departmental collaboration to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of security regulations and OSHA regulations, with a preference for familiarity with CalOSHA regulations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workflows, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle diverse individuals effectively.
• Good judgment and the ability to make timely, sound decisions.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.
• CPR certified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• At least two years of relevant experience in law enforcement, private protection, or corporate safety & security.
