Safety Representative I (Phoenix, AZ) - Austin Commercial
About the role
Austin Commercial is currently seeking a Safety Representative for their Phoenix, AZ Division. Austin Commercial is an industry leader with a strong commitment to safety, service, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of entry-level safety duties and assists in the implementation of the site safety program on assigned projects.
- Works with the Safety Coordinator and Manager to educate and train Austin Commercial project staff in federal, state, and local laws.
- Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
- Enforces safety programs and related policies and procedures.
- Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
- Attends seminars, lectures, and training classes to maintain all applicable certifications in safety-related subjects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 0-3 years safety experience in construction industry.
- Current on the following training and/or certifications: OSHA 30, CPR and First Aid.
- Some knowledge of construction processes and procedures preferred.
- Strong communication skills and possesses the ability to have crucial conversations.
- Thoroughness and reliability.
- Excellent time management skills.
