Safety Intern

About the role

As a Safety Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting safety initiatives across active construction projects while working alongside experienced safety professionals and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing and monitoring safety programs
• Conducting site audits and inspections
• Supporting incident investigations
• Helping deliver training and awareness efforts that promote a strong culture of safety
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Contribute to creating safe, healthy, and productive jobsites for everyone

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program
• Preferred majors/concentrations in Occupational Safety and Health, Occupational Safety Management, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields
• Passion and desire to work in the construction industry
• Strong communication skills, including a willingness and comfortability to create and maintain relationships by means of cold and warm phone calls
• Goal oriented, with a focus on personal development
• Evidence of high academic achievement with current or prior elected leadership experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and ability to work optimally with minimum supervision
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future

Qualifications

• Prior work experience, internship preferred but not required
• Preference may be given to candidates who have engaged with Boldt through career fairs, networking events, classroom presentations, or other campus recruiting activities

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $25 to $29 per hour. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location; actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
