Safety Intern

About the role

As a Safety Intern, you will apply your academic knowledge and training in a real-world setting under supervision of the District Safety Manager or Project Safety Manager. Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the facilitation of the company's safety program.
• Reporting and tracking of orientations, training, audits, incident reports, and other related documents.
• Assists in reporting incidents/accidents, investigations, root cause analysis and submitting reports as required.
• Ordering safety supplies as required.
• Coordinating safety events as directed by the District Safety Manager or Project Safety Manager.
• Preparing responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
• Supporting staff in assigned project-based work.
• Maintaining knowledge of FlatironDragados' company values and strategic plan.
• Supporting published corporate policies.
• Performing additional assignments per management’s direction.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in Health & Safety or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university.
