Safety Instructor/Consultant

About the role

HB NEXT, a regulatory compliance firm, is seeking a Safety Consultant to join their team in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. The role involves inspecting, teaching, training, and consulting clients in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

- Inspect, teach, train, and consult clients in the construction industry. - Travel throughout the southeast with some night and weekend travel may be required. - Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT workplace regulations through comprehensive site-based inspections, virtual and in-person education & training, and other consulting services.

Requirements

- At least 5 - 10 years of commercial / industrial construction experience, including safety experience as a superintendent or project manager. - Current OSHA OTI-500 certification. - Current OSHA OTI-501 certification (optional). - Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours. - Ability to pass a drug screen and a 50-state, 15-year background check.
