About the role

The position supports the administration of the Company’s Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) and related safety regulations, ensuring compliance and fostering a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support with Company team members, owner representatives, regulatory agencies, clinics, and medical/testing facilities to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Promote engagement with the company safety program and local incident prevention efforts to increase involvement and reduce at-risk behaviors.
  • Aid in the implementation of safety-related programs to align with strategic goals.
  • Perform and document inspections, observations, and audits to prevent incidents and ensure the health and well-being of employees.
  • Prepare and conduct safety meetings and training programs to enhance knowledge and understanding of work-related hazards and risks.
  • Assist in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
  • Develop and review job hazard analyses to facilitate the safe completion of work tasks.
  • Investigate and communicate near misses, incidents, and claims to safeguard company interests.
  • Conduct periodic checks to ensure corrective actions and deficiencies are addressed promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in construction or a related industry with safety-related responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal safety and health regulations.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, follow-through, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-production environment and respond quickly to situations.
  • Attention to detail and prioritization skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

$72,355.00 - $108,534.00 per year, depending on relevant experience, skills, location, and education.
