Safety & Environmental Manager

About the role

This full-time, salary-exempt position is located in Macungie, Pennsylvania, United States, at 7533 Industrial Parkway Suite 100, 18062. It is a Safety Manager role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide safety programs.
• Lead safety inspections, meetings, and training sessions.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices, emergency preparedness, and compliance requirements.
• Report and investigate safety incidents. Follow up with corrective action.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records as required by regulatory agencies.
• Manage incident response plan.
• Oversee fire protection systems, conduct inspections, and provide necessary training.
• Maintain Pest Control Program records.
• Serve as the liaison between the site and corporate for policy updates, safety issues, and environmental compliance.
• Communicate with government agencies as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year college degree, 4 year degree in a Safety/Environmental or related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in safety management within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides and Gmail).
• Working knowledge of product layouts and production specifications.
• Working knowledge of product quality specifications.
• Working knowledge of quality standards.
