Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal EHS regulations.
- Provide ongoing support, leadership and guidance and direct effort to achieve and maintain Star status under OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program.
- Develop, implement and maintain Safety & Health Policies, Plans and Procedures.
- Conduct new employee safety orientation training.
- Periodic/Annual training courses regarding specific safety issues relevant to the work environment.
- Provide ongoing support to facility personnel and leadership in the identification of workplace hazards, reporting and investigation of incidents.
- Works with department supervision to conduct incident investigations in a thorough and timely manner to determine root cause and prevention.
- Conducts frequent plant safety inspections and observes workers for safe and unsafe behaviors.
- Develop, maintain and report on key safety performance indicators.
- Scheduling and coordinating required monitoring and sampling pursuant to Facility Industrial Hygiene/Environmental factors. (air quality, noise, etc.)
- Manage local and state permitting, sampling requirements and waste manifests. This includes experience with SDCP, Title V and IWW Permitting)
