Position Summary Under the supervision of the Manager for Safety, Environmental and Health, the S.E.H coordinator position is responsible for assisting in the overall Safety, Environmental and Health management systems for TOPY America. This position is based in Frankfort, Kentucky, however; the coordinator is responsible for supporting Safety, Environmental and Health improvements and compliance for operations/facilities in Frankfort, KY, Chicago, Nashville, and Salt Lake City. Analyze all facilities compliance and monitor/maintain/complete necessary documentation.Assist in the development of plant programs to promote and maintain the safety, environmental and health programs.Devise methods of Safety Training programs that elevate Safety consciousness and awareness for all Associates and Staff.Implement and measure the effectiveness of these programs for continuous improvement.Assist in the supervision and monitoring the activities of the Waste Water Department and Staff.Assist in efforts to maximize plant utility conservation.Analyze all new equipment and systems to understand their impact on Safety and verify/approve for operation.Communicate with associates, physicians and insurance carriers regarding Workers Compensation issues.Certify Associate’s use of forklifts and cranes.Analyze present and future PPE requirements and needs of the Company.Monitor utility usage, including water, gas and electric.Assists in monitoring the corporate Hazardous Waste Management program under the guidance of the S.E.H. Manager.Other job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Knowledge And Skill Requirements Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements and the ability to interact with these agencies.Possess excellent computer skills.Experience with testing of personnel regarding required OSHA and other compliance requirements. Ability to cultivate goodwill and use diplomacy, teamwork, and effective interaction skills to promote improvement and buy-in for Safety and Environmental programs both internally and externally.Preferred: Experience operating a waste water treatment facility or knowledge of chemicals or additives. Waste Treatment Operator’s License. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY The position does not have any direct reports. TRAVEL This position does not travel. EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the management of Safety & Environmental functions/aspects in a manufacturing facility preferred.
