Responsibilities
- Advise site management regarding site wide regulatory compliance and implementation of industry best practices as they relate to all workers and process safety issues.
- Facilitate guidance for contractors and supports the site employee safety team.
- Affords assistance with emergency preparedness and responses.
- Coordinates with site security and contract workforce with preparedness tactics for risks and liabilities associated with emergencies and Homeland Security.
- Maintains industrial hygiene programs, organizes site and employee monitoring.
- Maintains the plant SHE assets and protective systems integrity and delivers established SHE goals set by the business.
- Performs inspections in assigned work areas, generates reports regarding findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
- Experience with VPP (Voluntary Protection Program).
- Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and practices.
- Ability to inspect work areas and generate reports.
- Proficiency in computer-based training methods and software.
- Ability to interact with various community and government agencies.
- Ability to lead special projects and initiatives.

Pay
- $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
