Position Overview

This role is an hourly entry-level position serving as a designated safety representative of the assigned dream fulfillment center (DFC). Key responsibilities include conducting daily, weekly, and monthly audits, facilitating incident investigations, leading risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and performing safety observations and audits.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
  • Facilitate incident investigation process and lead/participate in investigations involving workplace incidents and new equipment introductions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, including ergonomic considerations.
  • Maintain compliance with RTR’s safety program and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Maintain required paperwork and ensure immediate aid is available for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests needing assistance or medical attention.
  • Document safety incident information in RTR’s OSHA 300 log and 300a in a timely manner.
  • Perform monthly facility inspections and document findings.
  • Partner with the security team to ensure awareness of RTR’s safety policies.

About You

  • Associates’ degree or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Ergonomics or a related field required.
  • 1+ year of growing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, security or service operations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in personnel issues.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable in RTR’s industry.
  • Calm demeanor in emergency situations.
  • Flexible regarding shifts.
  • Computer skills relevant to reviewing security footage and creating documents and incident logs.
  • Proficient with Google Suite, Google Sheets, Looker, and Jira.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Ability to enforce safety guidelines, cleanliness, and security standards.
  • Ability to quickly recognize, diagnose, and solve challenges for associates in partnership with leadership.
  • Must operate with a sense of urgency and have attention to detail.
  • Align with company’s core values to ensure a world-class customer experience.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs based on the needs of the role.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
  • Distribution Center or Manufacturing Safety experience at a site of at least 500 non-exempt employees is a plus.
  • OSHA Outreach Instructor (OSHA 30/10) is a plus.

Pay & Schedule

The anticipated base range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
