Safety Co-Op/Internship

About the role

Join Link-Belt Cranes, a global leader in mobile crane design, manufacture, and sales, based in Lexington, Kentucky. We are seeking a part-time Safety Co-Op to support our company's safety, health, and environmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document Job Hazard Analysis for various manufacturing jobs including welding, machining, assembly, fabrication, warehousing, etc.
• Engage with the Safety Steering Committee to address safety management and improve actions.
• Conduct various Safety, Health, and Environmental inspections and audits, either independently or with others.
• Shadow and assist Safety staff with incident investigations, general safety training, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments.
• Maintain records and accurately input data as needed.
• Prepare reports for the Manager and HR Director as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Workplace Safety & Health or a related field.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
