Responsibilities

• Monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Conducts surveillance at jobsites and provides feedback to workers, installation leadership, and the safety team identifying good behaviors, areas of improvement, and corrective actions as necessary.
• Provides training to the workforce on GDIT, local, state, federal, and relevant NAVSEA policies and procedures unique to each installation.
• Assists the waterfront workforce and team leaders in aspects of environmental compliance, such as tracking usage and emissions of a variety of hazardous substances.
• Exercises the ability to operate independently and provides inputs for process improvement to better protect the workforce and enhance GDIT's ability to meet customer expectations.

Requirements

• AS/AA degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of related experience
• Microsoft Office familiarity
• Good communication, time management, knowledge of OSHA standards, local Occupational Safety and Health Standards, and environmental regulations
• US citizenship required

Pay

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.83 - $33.35. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
