About the role
This is a 5-month contract position for an indirect services buyer focusing on software, IT hardware, and SaaS procurement. The candidate will manage end-to-end sourcing, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, compliant acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end procurement of software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, IT/ET hardware, and related professional services
- Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders following internal policies
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure optimal value and manage risk
- Review and interpret software licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, and maintenance/support terms
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to clarify requirements and align on specifications and timelines
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve delivery, quality, invoicing, and contract performance issues
- Maintain accurate procurement records to support audit and compliance requirements
- Track and report key metrics such as cost savings, cycle time, and supplier performance
- Support spend analysis to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost reduction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3–5 years of procurement/purchasing experience focused on indirect categories
- Hands-on experience sourcing software services, IT/ET hardware, and/or SaaS solutions
- Working knowledge of software licensing models, SaaS subscription structures, and IT hardware procurement
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
- Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
