About the role
The client is seeking an experienced Indirect Services Buyer II to support the procurement of software services, SaaS solutions, IT/Engineering Technology (ET) hardware, and related professional services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, IT/ET hardware, and professional services.
- Review requisitions and create purchase orders in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contract language, and service agreements to maximize value and mitigate risk.
- Evaluate and interpret software licensing agreements, subscription models, maintenance contracts, and support terms.
- Partner with IT, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to define sourcing requirements and timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while addressing delivery, invoicing, quality, and performance concerns.
- Track procurement metrics including cost savings, supplier performance, procurement cycle times, and spend trends.
- Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for vendor consolidation, cost reduction, and process improvements.
- Maintain procurement records and documentation to support audits, compliance requirements, and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience with a focus on indirect spend categories.
- Experience sourcing and procuring software services, SaaS solutions, and/or IT hardware.
- Understanding of software licensing structures, SaaS subscription models, and technology procurement practices.
- Strong supplier management and contract negotiation skills.
- Experience working with ERP or procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of government contracting procurement requirements, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalent.
- Experience utilizing contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
- Familiarity with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and technology purchasing strategies.

$42-$61/hr (varies by location)
