About the Role
An Independent Doctor of Optometry affiliated with LensCrafters (Luxottica) seeks an Associate Optometrist. You will work within the practice of a LensCrafters Subleasing Optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients under the supervision of the Subleasing Doctor
- Provide comprehensive optometric care, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses and eyewear
- Document patient visits and treatments in medical records
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an ABO accredited program
- Current license to practice optometry in Georgia
- Experience in independent practice preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Professional autonomy to care for patients
- Full scope of practice predicated only on professional discretion and agreement with the Subleasing Doctor
- Flexible scheduling available including part-time commitments or the option to add work to an existing practice schedule
- Work in a fully furnished office with a full suite of OD equipment
- May utilize the latest advancement in digital eye examination technology called Clarifye
- Most offices offer use of the Daytona Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging System and have full tech and pre-testing support
- Automated on-line appointment book and patient recall system
