About the role
The Server Assistant (SA) supports servers in delivering food and beverage service in a high-volume, live-entertainment restaurant and bar. SAs enhance the guest experience by anticipating needs, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with service tasks to ensure each guest has a positive visit.
Responsibilities
- Assist restaurant servers with table maintenance and guest needs throughout their visit.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable food and beverage service in line with quality and time standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of food and bar menus, as well as host and support staff procedures.
- Prepare restaurant tables with attention to sanitation and proper set-up.
- Sanitize tabletops, chairs, and surrounding floor areas.
- Read and understand food or beverage orders, ensuring safe service (e.g., proper temperature).
- Verify orders are complete with appropriate preparation, plate/glassware, garnish, presentation, and serving utensils before delivery.
- Announce the name of food and beverages when serving guests.
- Transport dishes from bars and tables to the kitchen dish area.
- Maintain positive rapport with front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) management teams.
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management regarding inquiries, complaints, or incidents.
- Circulate through work areas to maintain line of sight and atmosphere control.
- Keep tabletops, floors, and service areas clear of dirty glasses and unnecessary items.
- Organize service stations and equipment storage.
- Complete daily, nightly, weekly, and opening/running/closing duties.
- Clean spills, waste, and trash immediately; sweep and mop as needed.
- Observe and anticipate guest needs, delivering items in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to departmental appearance and uniform standards while maintaining professionalism.
- Follow all company, department, and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Work may include indoor and/or outdoor areas, with exposure to high and low temperatures.
- Ability to work in small areas with 3 ft. access.
- Schedule may exceed 30 hours per week, including overtime, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licensing or work cards.
- Ability to work in environments with second-hand smoke, excessive noise, flashing/strobe lights, and fast-paced guest interactions.
