S&OP Analyst II
About the role
The S&OP Analyst will lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, prepare data for monthly meetings, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure effective sales, demand, and inventory plans. This role also involves forecasting, demand planning, inventory planning, and S&OP monthly cycles. The position requires a self-starter with a strong desire to drive continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the S&OP processes in partnership with Sales and Operations teams, report on progress, and share best practices.
- Prepare data and materials for monthly S&OP meetings to facilitate decisions over the S&OP planning horizon.
- Facilitate monthly Forecasting collaboration meetings with Sales and Product Development to ensure effective sales, demand, and inventory plans, including new product launches and PIPO.
- Integrate key processes such as customer forecasts, statistical forecast models, targeted service levels, demand and supply variability, product life cycle, operational capacities, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with key Customer accounts for alignment on demand and supply of products to enhance on-time delivery and planning visibility.
- Identify gaps in supply and demand and lead the process for teams to recommend mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to foster open and honest communication and mutual agreement on issues and solutions.
- Manage the aggregation of the demand plan process across product areas, producing a rolling 12-18 month estimate of future demand in units.
- Avoid inefficiencies in communication across functional teams regarding trends, promotions, drivers, and takeaways.
- Assist sales with business planning and communicate with local and corporate management on new opportunities, performance of accounts, and operational improvements to maximize profitability.

Qualifications
- Experience with multiple ERP systems and external planning software (Plex ERP and Supply Chain Planner experience a plus).
- APICS / ASCM CPIM Certified.
- Experience in the outdoor, recreational, or professional products industry.
- People management experience, including strong interpersonal and leadership skills (meeting facilitation, skill sharing and training, organization, conflict management, change agent, and managing relationships).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly preferred).
Skills, Competencies & Characteristics
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills, including multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow up, and attention to details.
- Knowledge of advanced data analytics tools and software (e.g., Power Bl, Tableau) and a willingness to learn new software/systems as introduced.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Able to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and colleagues cross-functionally.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
