S&OP Analyst II

About the role
The S&OP Analyst will facilitate and drive results in a fast-paced, demanding growth environment. This role focuses on implementing and improving the Sales and Operations Planning process to enhance customer satisfaction and profitability. Key responsibilities include Forecasting, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, and managing the S&OP monthly cycle. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong desire to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes in partnership with Sales and Operations teams, report on progress, and share best practices.
- Prepare data and materials for monthly S&OP meetings to facilitate decision-making over the planning horizon.
- Facilitate monthly Forecasting collaboration meetings with Sales and Product Development to ensure effective sales, demand, and inventory plans, including new product launches and PIPO.
- Integrate key processes such as customer forecasts, statistical forecast models, targeted service levels, demand and supply variability, product life cycle, and operational capacities.
- Collaborate with key customer accounts to align demand and supply, improving on-time delivery and planning visibility through Customer Supplier Portals.
- Identify gaps in supply and demand and lead mitigation strategy development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to foster open communication and mutually agreeable solutions.
- Manage the demand plan process, producing a rolling 12-18 month estimate of future demand in units.
- Document and validate assumptions incorporated in demand and supply plans.
- Track performance metrics to identify opportunities and potential issues within S&OP processes and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics/Distribution to evaluate demand/production plans against inventory, capacity, and external factors, creating mitigation actions as needed.
- Ensure efficient communication across functional teams regarding trends, promotions, drivers, and key takeaways.
- Assist sales with business planning and communicate with management on new opportunities, account performance, and operational improvements to maximize profitability.
Requirements
- Experience with multiple ERP systems and external planning software; Plex ERP and Supply Chain Planner experience is a plus.
- APICS / ASCM CPIM certification.
- Experience in the outdoor, recreational, or professional products industry.
- People management experience, including strong interpersonal and leadership skills: meeting facilitation, skill sharing, training, organization, conflict management, and relationship management.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly preferred).
Skills
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills, including multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of advanced data analytics tools and software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and willingness to learn new systems.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Schedule
Dometic operates with a 4+1 policy: 4 days per week in the office (Elkhart, IN) and 1 day per week remotely.
