(S) Facilities Manager
About the role
The high-profile position will apply Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to manage the physical infrastructure of the plant and its equipment. This includes the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, safety, and protection of the physical facilities and equipment used to manufacture technologically sophisticated products.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead by example that safety is a way of life
- Lead/Manage the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering departments
- Minimize unplanned equipment downtime and maximize equipment reliability by employing TPM and other Lean initiatives
- Ensure Facilities Engineering metrics are well-known, and track progress toward achieving department objectives
- Establish project goals, and lead the group effort toward successfully completing those projects
- Manage the maintenance and repair budget
- Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and scrap reduction
- Develop the capabilities of those in the department through teaching, coaching, establishing high standards, and ensuring accountability
- Exhibit and promote an attitude on the plant floor that leads to an engaged and energized workforce
- Advise, assist and review all matters involving capital and major expenses
- Review and edit all requests for assets (RFA) and author those pertaining to the facility ASAT management
- Represent Arconic at community planning boards
- Maintain high attendance record
- Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
- Travel may be required
- Daily help manage parts and expedite parts as necessary
- Troubleshoot equipment – sense of urgency
- Daily review of PM’s equipment down with team
- ASAT – audits and improvements
- Contract skilled trades as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in facilities
- Three (3) years supervisory experience
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in AutoCAD, office software, project management and strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Good people management interpersonal skills, ability to speak to groups of employees or outside agencies, mathematical skills and analytical program solving
- Good understanding of financial data
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Occasional electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment interface
- Office equipment including computers
- Walking, light lifting, and routine physical activity
