Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a gastroenterologist to serve as Clinical Director of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. This role involves managing clinical performance and activities, overseeing clinical staff, developing and implementing clinical strategies, and fostering clinical research and educational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage clinical performance and activities of gastroenterologists
- Oversee clinical staff and develop clinical strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Interface with other key GI, Department of Medicine, and hospital leadership
- Foster clinical research and educational initiatives
- Ensure adherence to best practices and evidence-based protocols
- Develop and expand clinical research interests
Requirements
- Board-certified gastroenterologist with leadership experience
- Active gastroenterology practice
- Participation in gastroenterology fellowship education
- Focus in an area of clinical interest
- Contribute to the academic mission of the Division
Qualifications
- Leadership experience in academic or clinical settings
- Experience in overseeing clinical operations
