About the role

Maxime’s is a private member’s club on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City. The Runner will report to the Restaurant Manager and work closely with Servers/Captains and other front‑of‑house team members to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure the highest possible level of member satisfaction, elevating Maxime’s brand and service standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attending to all members’ needs in a courteous and professional manner.
• Be fully conversant with the table lay‑up and mise‑en‑place prior to, during, and after service.
• Actively assist Servers and Server Assistants in food and beverage service.
• Maintain a professional, upbeat demeanor and embrace a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
• Perform regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting as part of normal restaurant operations.

Requirements

• Proven success as a Runner within fine dining, Michelin‑starred establishments, or luxury hotel settings.
• Ability to thrive in high‑end environments while upholding superior service standards and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
