Responsibilities

• Cuts, welds, and sands pipes to prepare for assembly.
• Bolts and assembles components to the plumbing system.
• Reads through specs and blueprints to ensure compliance with customer standards.
• Performs water and suction tests to ensure the efficiency of the plumbing system.
• Installs valves and ensures they are correctly attached.
• Performs other duties as required by the supervisor to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED required. General plumbing, mechanical, and/or fabrication knowledge preferred.
• Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, perform basic math, operate computers, and use basic hand tools.
• Physical Demands: Lifting capacity up to 10 pounds, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, grasping, turning the wrist, pinching, feeling, typing, and using hand and arm dexterity.
• Working Conditions: Work near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and occasional exposure to loud noise.

Qualifications - Other

• Driving License: Required if driving company vehicle.
• Hours of Work: Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally.
• Travel: Local travel as needed to support department needs.
• Physical Demands: Lifting capacity up to 10 pounds, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, grasping, turning the wrist, pinching, feeling, typing, and using hand and arm dexterity.
• Work Environment: Exposure to wet/humid conditions, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, vibration, and noise levels.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety boots, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, respirator, face shield.
