About the Role

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the successful applicant will provide comprehensive nursing care in the Rehabilitation program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a rehabilitation setting.
• Perform I.V. starts and venipuncture.
• Demonstrate good stewardship in the identification, reporting, and mitigation of unsafe acts or conditions (patient, worker, and workplace safety is a BCHS corporate priority).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college nursing program.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• 2 years’ experience in a complex continuing care, geriatric nursing, or rehabilitation setting.

• Member of RPNAO.
• Ability to act as a coach, teacher, and mentor to colleagues and students.
• Demonstrated competence in patient assessment and care planning.
• Reliable individual with an excellent attendance record and ability to work all shifts.
