About the role
The Routing Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient food distribution within Performance Food Group. They oversee the routing of deliveries to ensure timely and accurate service to customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the routing of deliveries to meet customer needs and company standards.
- Monitor delivery schedules and adjust routes as necessary to maintain efficiency.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and accurately.
- Communicate with drivers and dispatchers to resolve any issues related to deliveries.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate restocking efforts.
- Train new drivers and provide ongoing support to improve their performance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of food industry regulations and best practices.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
