Position Responsibilities
- Create delivery routes that are cost-effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines while maintaining customer service and satisfaction.
- Utilize Roadnet application to manage delivery costs and ensure they align with company expectations.
- Establish and maintain routing procedures and schedules to optimize personnel and equipment usage, prioritizing driver safety.
- Maintain Roadnet application to ensure all locations have accurate, timely, and updated information regarding routes, customer delivery requirements, geo-coding, delivery days, time windows, service time types, service time overrides, account types, meal breaks, route start times, pre/post trips, starting/ending depots, travel modes, color for mapping, assigned driver, equipment, and DOT road checks.
- Perform and provide cost analysis, off-day scheduling, maintenance, scorecard, customer, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting on a regular basis.
- Analyze previous day's actual routing results, make necessary adjustments to standard routes if required.
- Create maps and print driving instructions for unfamiliar drivers.
- Generate and distribute driver manifest reports nightly.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Experience in distribution, logistics, transportation, or a related field for 1-3 years.
- Basic/Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with various software applications and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
