About the Role

As a Permanent Route Supervisor, you will manage all aspects of our delivery operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products reach our customers in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. You will oversee a team of drivers, coordinate their routes, and ensure that all logistics operations run smoothly. This is a full-time position that requires a hands-on, proactive approach and a strong commitment to achieving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the delivery team, ensuring all routes are completed efficiently and safely.
• Develop and implement route plans, taking into account factors such as delivery volume, geographical location, and time constraints.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure that all deliveries are dispatched on time and reach their destinations as scheduled.
• Monitor driver performance, providing coaching and feedback as necessary to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during the delivery process, resolving them in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, addressing any concerns or queries they may have regarding delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations relating to delivery operations.
• Conduct regular training sessions for drivers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in route supervision or a similar role.
• Proven experience in team leadership, with strong skills in coaching and performance management.
• Excellent knowledge of route planning and logistics operations.
• Ability to handle high-stress situations and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve operational issues swiftly and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficient in the use of logistics software and other relevant technology.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to delivery operations.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in all aspects of delivery operations.

Pay

$60,000 - $70,000 per year
