Brink’s U.S., a division of Brink’s, Incorporated, is the premier provider of armored car transportation, currency and coin processing, ATM servicing, and other value-added services to financial institutions, retailers, and government entities. With a proud history of growth and advancement opportunities, we are seeking a Route Supervisor to oversee Cash in Transit (CIT) operations in an armed environment.
About the Role
The Route Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of drivers, messengers, and guards to ensure the secure, safe, and efficient execution of Cash in Transit functions. This position enforces security protocols, prioritizes daily operations, and assists the Manager in maintaining branch functionality.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line supervision to CIT employees.
- Oversee daily operations, including route efficiency, scheduling, and branch opening/closing.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring all employees return home safely.
- Provide coaching and skill development to employees.
- Drive continuous improvement through systems, equipment, and process redesign.
- Maintain and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Secure inventories by enforcing controls and compliance with security procedures.
- Reduce worker’s compensation injury costs and security losses.
- Ensure employees comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist management in meeting branch goals.
- Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in transportation and/or logistics.
- Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements.
- Valid guard card or ability to obtain one, along with any other required licenses.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an armored car driver.
- Knowledge of route analysis and logistics.
- Familiarity with lean/process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with budgeting and planning.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
