Route Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Start of day: Communicate with store manager about previous day and daily needs; check voicemail, call, and e-mail; complete daily report; identify declined credit cards and call for new card info; input and run new credit card; scan orders on app; load van; download daily summary manifest and print; download manifest to Routetrac; scan all tickets for delivery stops; pick up bags or hangers; store drop off; communicate with store about special requests; replace damaged bags or bag tags.
• Driving: Obey all driving laws and speed limits; show courtesy on the road; inform route supervisor of any work needing to be done; keep van clean; complete weekly van maintenance report; follow suggested schedule for service on van; inform route supervisor of any work needing to be done; leave van keys at home store.
• Van: Keep clean inside and out; wash and sweep out as needed; complete weekly van maintenance report; follow suggested schedule for service on van; inform route supervisor of any work needing to be done; leave van keys at home store.
• Customer and manifest maintenance: Keep customer information current; update phone numbers and credit cards; delete any customers that move or quit the route; contact customers with special requests; add daily delivery/pickup instructions to manifest; set up customer in route order on manifest; fill out application; charge sign-up fee and give in-store credit; set up and deliver bags to customer, also door hook if requested.
• Selling: Dedicate at least four hours each Wednesday to selling; target selling a minimum of two (2) VIPs each week; target selling a minimum of $5000 each week, and increase as the route gets built up; follow local municipality laws for soliciting; door knock to homes, businesses, and residential buildings; put door knockers on doors in areas with high possibility of getting responses; report new customers added to the route and total sales; assist in selling strategies.
• Other: Help with special projects like Coats for Colorado or other company or community projects; attend team and/or company meetings; follow all rules and regulations in the company employee manual.
