Responsibilities

• Accurate measuring, cutting, and shaping lumber, wood, and other building materials
• Attaching building materials using screws, nuts, and bolts, and air-powered guns
• Building wooden structures, including walls, roofs, and flooring, according to design and blueprints
• Constructing window and door frames as well as staircases and flooring
• Ensuring the structural integrity of floors, walls, and ceilings by blocking according to blueprints
• Examining building materials to identify any defects
• Identifying deviations from design and troubleshooting manufacturing issues
• Performing cleanups of job sites by clearing away all carpentry debris and waste

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• 2 years of carpentry experience, including framing
• Physical strength and stamina
• The ability to interpret blueprints
• The ability to accurately measure to specifications
• The ability to safely use hand and power tools
• The ability to lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs; bend, stoop, and kneel repetitively; and reach above the shoulder to work
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills

Pay

The Pay Range for this position is $22.32 - $28.32 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

• Hours of Operations: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with some overtime required, extending the day to 4:30 PM
• Breaks: 10 minutes at 9:00 AM, 30-minute lunch at 11:00 AM, 10 minutes at 1:30 PM
