Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible for designing, installing and repairing rough wooden structures, including: scaffolds, guardrail, concrete forms, sewer supports and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. Travel may be required. This role is classified as safety sensitive.

Activities/Tasks/Scope
- Keep work area clean, orderly and safe
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or plans to prepare the layout of the project
- Estimate height, width, length and other proportions
- Select materials
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and/or erect structures
- Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
- Work on top of stilts, ladders, and the top beams of buildings
- Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
- Create structures for pouring concrete
- Build concrete forms for tunnel or sewer construction project
- Erect scaffolding
- Build guardrail
- Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience
- High School or Degree or GED required
- 2-3 years of experience in heavy construction carpentry experience preferred
