About the role

Seaboard Energy is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will perform new installations, minor repairs, and rebuilds of equipment, as well as preventative maintenance. The technician will also respond to emergency maintenance requests and calls, ensuring an excellent safety record and maintaining a clean, professional work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs new installations, minor repairs, and rebuilds of equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests and calls.
  • Maintains an excellent safety record, housekeeping, and personal conduct.
  • Uses good interpersonal skills and is highly proficient in using general and power tools.
  • Adheres to safe work practices and follows industry standards.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments.
  • Participates in reliability programs, predictive maintenance programs, and Management of Change processes.
  • Interprets P&IDs, drawings, schematics, cut sheets, pump, and blower curves.
  • Proficient in coupling alignment, coupler types, pumps, valves, gearboxes, fans, blowers, seals, and precision measurement tools.
  • Operates cranes and hoists, coolers, agitators, mixers, and performs precision measurements.
  • Must be able to wear respiratory protective equipment.

Requirements

  • A strong background in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various rotating equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and work orders in English.
  • Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

  • Lifts and moves up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Works with moving mechanical parts and electrical equipment.
  • Stoops, bends, kneels, climbs ladders, works in high areas, works in dark areas, and works in confined spaces.
  • Exposed to wet and humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

Work Environment

  • Occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.
  • Exposed to working in inclement weather conditions.
  • May work rotating on-call weekends.

Normal Work Hours

  • Monday - Friday, 10 hour shifts.
