Rotary Die Cutter (United) Assistant Operator
About the role
The position is a 2nd shift United Assistant Operator role located in Carol Stream, IL. It pays $26.99/hour plus a $0.25/hour shift differential and a sign-on bonus of up to $1000. The position requires two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment with at least one year with the same employer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe operations at all times
- Perform set up functions such as removing and attaching cutting dies, zeroing and opening/closing the machine, raising, auto setting, and lowering the pre-feeder, setting the stacker and counter-ejector portions of the machine, recovering ink and washing ink filters, installing inks, cleaning, setting, and adjusting the glue application system, and completing necessary paperwork
- Learn KIWI and QMS operating systems and run a quality product
- Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading work orders, print cards, and design specifications
- Continually monitor the quality and quantity of production
- Constantly stand, walk, twist, bend, and lift from the ground; occasionally reach and crouch
- Frequent lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Perform clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming, sweeping the machine area, picking up scrap, and general housekeeping
Qualifications
- Two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment with at least one year with the same employer preferred
