Rooms Inspector - Full Time - Holiday Inn National Airport ($19.50-$21/hr)

About the role
This position supervises, trains, and inspects the performance of assigned Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Lobby Attendants, ensuring all procedures meet the hotel's standards. You will assist where necessary to ensure optimal guest service and manage staff to achieve financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive team member relations.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for guest satisfaction by leading the housekeeping team, assigning tasks, inspecting work, and recording housekeeping actions across all hotel areas.
- Respond to guest concerns or requests promptly and courteously, focusing on service recovery when applicable.
- Train and model appropriate guest service standards by working alongside staff.
- Develop and implement service programs within the housekeeping department to increase guest satisfaction.
- Conduct routine inspections of housekeeping operations to maintain standards per company, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date Material Safety Data Sheets and ensure proper chemical handling procedures.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, following all company procedures for guest and team member incidents.
- Direct staff performance, take corrective action as needed, and hold team members accountable.
- Motivate staff by setting goals, providing feedback, and recognizing team members.
- Assist with coaching, development, and required training for department team members, ensuring training records are maintained.
- Analyze quality issues, identify training needs, and implement improvements.
- Promote collaboration and a positive, professional work environment.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly department/hotel meetings to ensure proper communication and planning.
- Use expertise to advise and implement changes to housekeeping operations as needed.
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry initiatives to meet productivity standards.
- Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills for all organizational levels.
- Ability to problem-solve with team members and guests.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
- Bilingual ability preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
- Significant bending required.

Pay
Compensation range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered is determined by the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, and certifications or professional licenses held.
