Rooms Inspector

About the role

The Rooms Inspector ensures associates promptly clean public areas and guest rooms are maintained, cleaned and inspected to standard for resale to incoming guests. This role involves training associates on customer service, cleaning standards, and adherence to the department’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Trains associates on customer service, cleaning standards, and adherence to the department’s operations.
• Inspects rooms and assigned areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
• Supervises, coaches, and counsels Public Area Attendants, Room Attendants, and Linen Runners.
• Issues assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
• Responds to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Implements emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guest, staff, and company assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Experience required by position is from one to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Housekeeping and the hotel's services, policies, and operations.
• Supervisory skills.
• Ability to communicate with guests and staff.
• Ability to inspect guest rooms and review reports.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of linen, supplies, furniture.
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs., push/pull housekeeping cart and vacuum cleaner.
• Ability to carry up to 35 lbs. of supplies.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs, and use ladders.

$23.00 - $23.00 /Hr.
