Room Service Server
About the role
The role of the Room Service Server involves delivering food orders to guests in their rooms, ensuring proper food quality, greeting guests, communicating options for tray removal, responding to guest concerns, and properly closing guest checks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room
- Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order
- Transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner
- Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods
- Communicate options for removal of trays and dishware
- Respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
- Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature
- Properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
Requirements
Requirements for the position include being able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and having a valid driver's license if required for transportation.

Pay
The hourly rate for the Room Service Server is $10.86 plus a service charge.
