ROOM SERVICE OPERATOR (FT) | TSR

About the role

The Room Service Operator is responsible for answering incoming calls from in-room guests, processing orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Verifies guest names and room numbers upon phone call
• Takes and repeats guest food and beverage orders for accuracy
• Inputs orders into the POS system for kitchen preparation
• Gives guests an estimated delivery time
• Tray/cart setup, ensuring proper utensils and condiments are included
• Processes signed guest checks through the POS system
• Placing call backs to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of PCI compliance requirements
• Observing and reporting inappropriate card handling activity

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous work experience in an upscale high-volume hotel/resort setting
• Working knowledge of POS systems used in hotels/restaurants
• Knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws or Arizona Alcohol Awareness certification
• Basic PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card
