Room Service Facilitator, Full Time, 1st and- 2nd Shift

About the role

Room Service (RS) Facilitator responsible for tray assembly of RS meals for patients/customers, ensuring meals/services are provided courteously, accurately, and timely. Works in the dish-room or other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned duties/tasks professionally, accurately, and as timely as possible
• Maintain thorough understanding of Room Service/Tray Monitor System
• Assemble RS meals for patients/customers
• Multi-task and work at a fast pace
• Clean work surfaces, equipment, and floors in work station
• Assist in transporting Room Service Carts to units to deliver meals to patients
• Notify appropriate care providers when patient meal service needs are identified (e.g., those receiving insulin, documentation of PO intake)
• Maintain polite, friendly, and helpful demeanor with co-workers, patients, nurses, and customers
• Uphold all DHEC/DNV regulations regarding food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning, and sanitation
• Record food service and DHEC reports, logs, and records
• Uphold proper personal and hand hygiene practices at all times
• Relay any identified problems to Coordinator/Supervisor/Management in a timely manner
• Maintain flexibility with schedule times
• Complete any other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Coordinator, Lead, or Management

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED OR one-year applicable food service/customer service experience
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions regarding patient care, nutrition, and infection control policies
• Good customer service/communication skills
• Ability to push weights up to 200#
• Constant standing and walking required

Schedule

6:00 AM – 8:00 PM, varied hours, 4 weekdays every other weekend.
