Room Service Assistant - Per Diem

Per diem, standard day shift with varied hours: 5:45 am–2:15 pm or 12:30 pm–6:30 pm.

In this role, you will take calls from patients placing meal orders into the Room Service Program.

Responsibilities

• Take calls from patients placing Room Service Orders; assist them with menu selections.
• Input information into the Room Service program using a computer.
• Check diet orders from patient units and enter proper diet into the computer.
• Ensure that meal orders are recorded for all patients prior to the meal period.
• Collaborate and communicate with Dietitians on any unusual request or situation.
• Visit patients on units to conduct Quality Improvement activities.
• Deliver paper menus to the tray line and retrieve menus from patient rooms when necessary during downtime procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to implement oral and written instructions.
• 0–6 months of experience.
