Roll Maintenance Technician
About the role
A Technician completes the daily tasks associated with working in a roll shop, including but not limited to housekeeping, chocking/dechocking rolls, grinding rolls, and overhead crane rigging and movement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain housekeeping in Area Of Responsibility (A.O.R)
- Maintain acceptable attendance
- Willingness to learn new tasks/jobs
- Be self-motivated when not given a specific task
- Fork truck operation
- Take direction from lead or supervisors
- Maintain timekeeping documentation
- Wear required PPE
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years of experience in a specific equipment function is preferred; no supervisory experience is required
- Crane and forklift certification is preferred – in-house training provided to obtain certification

Schedule
This position rotates 4 days on, 4 days off, alternating between day and night shifts. Shifts are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
