About the Role

As a Robotics Field Application Engineer, you will provide on-site technical expertise to deploy, optimize, and support robotic applications, ensuring systems meet customer performance expectations while acting as a key interface between customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site programming, setup, and integration support for robotic systems.
- Troubleshoot robotic systems and resolve issues to optimize performance, meeting cycle time and quality targets.
- Support commissioning, validation, and remote technical assistance via phone and email.
- Respond to customer inquiries and support requests with clear communication and high service quality.
- Develop and modify robot programs, implementing solutions with vision, tracking, and safety systems.
- Customize applications to customer needs, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Deliver customer and partner training, ensuring proper understanding and usage of systems.
- Support the development of training materials and document activities in CRM.
- Provide technical reports and track project progress.
- Collaborate with internal teams, provide feedback for improvement, and support knowledge sharing.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in robotics or industrial automation.
- Strong robot programming and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% (domestically and internationally).
Preferred Qualifications
- Structured text programming experience (C, C++, Python).
- Experience with industrial fieldbus systems.
- Experience with vision systems and conveyor tracking applications.
- Multilingual (Spanish).
- Experience working with system integrators or OEMs.
Physical Requirements
- Periods of sitting at a desk or standing while working on a computer.
- Travel in automobiles and planes.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects, including up to 40 pounds at times.
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment.
This position reports to the Duncan, SC office.
