About the Role

As a Robotics Field Application Engineer, you will provide on-site technical expertise to deploy, optimize, and support robotic applications, ensuring systems meet customer performance expectations while acting as a key interface between customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site programming, setup, and integration support for robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems and resolve issues to optimize performance, meeting cycle time and quality targets.
  • Support commissioning, validation, and remote technical assistance via phone and email.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and support requests with clear communication and high service quality.
  • Develop and modify robot programs, implementing solutions with vision, tracking, and safety systems.
  • Customize applications to customer needs, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Deliver customer and partner training, ensuring proper understanding and usage of systems.
  • Support the development of training materials and document activities in CRM.
  • Provide technical reports and track project progress.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, provide feedback for improvement, and support knowledge sharing.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in robotics or industrial automation.
  • Strong robot programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% (domestically and internationally).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Structured text programming experience (C, C++, Python).
  • Experience with industrial fieldbus systems.
  • Experience with vision systems and conveyor tracking applications.
  • Multilingual (Spanish).
  • Experience working with system integrators or OEMs.

Physical Requirements

  • Periods of sitting at a desk or standing while working on a computer.
  • Travel in automobiles and planes.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects, including up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment.

This position reports to the Duncan, SC office.
