About the role
This assistant is responsible for assisting in Robotic Visual Inspections utilizing equipment including borescopes, push cameras, crawler systems, and underwater submarines. Additionally, when discovered, the assistant will work to perform retrieval of the foreign material. Technician will be responsible for assisting in the development of inspection techniques.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Absorb and report deliverables for the customer.
- Become proficient in the operation of robotic and remote visual inspection tools.
- Collaborate with other employees to ensure operational needs are met.
- Solve operational issues with minimal guidance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in working in high stress environments with teams.
- Minimum of HS Diploma accompanied with suitable past work experience.
- Strong ability to follow and be part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Microsoft Office Suite certificates and licenses.
- Certifiable to ASNT TC-1A in the appropriate method when eligible.
Qualifications
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- Ability to work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
- Ability to work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
- Ability to work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
- Ability to work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
- Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
