Robotics Vision Software Engineer

About the role

Build and deploy computer vision systems for robotics applications, focusing on perception, navigation, and path planning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize production software for perception, navigation, and path planning using computer vision.
• Lead the creation of scalable, high-performance vision pipelines, including model integration and inference optimization.
• Transform research concepts into reliable, safety-compliant production solutions.
• Develop innovative software approaches to address complex perception and navigation challenges.
• Implement metrics, evaluation frameworks, and testing infrastructure to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineering teams to integrate machine learning and computer vision models into production systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with leadership or mentoring roles.
• 5+ years programming in at least one software language.
• Experience in designing scalable, reliable systems and leading architecture efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), model deployment tools, real-time systems, embedded platforms, or edge deployment.
• Publications or patents in computer vision.
