Robotic Process Automation Consultant

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA bots and automation workflows using Automation Anywhere A360; ensure bots are scalable, reliable, and production-ready
• Lead end-to-end design of RPA solutions, including workflow documentation, component allocation, and bot architecture aligned with enterprise standards
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to assess existing processes, identify automation opportunities, and estimate effort and complexity
• Integrate RPA solutions with enterprise platforms (ERP, Customer Billing, databases, APIs), ensuring seamless data flow across systems
• Oversee production bot performance, handle business user inquiries on bots, conduct root cause analysis on failures, and implement continuous improvement cycles during on-call workday 8am-5pm CST
• Adhere to RPA development standards and contribute to reusable component libraries
• Maintain thorough documentation of automation workflows, design decisions, and operational runbooks
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and a proactive approach to mastering emerging orchestration and integration platforms, including but not limited to Jenkins, Control-M, and Abacus AI

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of overall development experience with 3+ years of hands-on RPA Automation Anywhere development, including end-to-end design and implementation
• Automation Anywhere Expertise: Proficiency in Automation Anywhere A360, including Bot Creator, and AARI
• Programming Skills: Strong foundation in Python; experience with REST APIs and web services integration
• Cloud Platforms: Experience using CI/CD pipelines for deployment
• Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL; experience querying and manipulating data across relational databases
• Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced RPA Professional (AARPA) certification
• Experience with AI/ML-augmented automation (document processing, generative AI integration)
• Exposure to regulated industry automation is preferred
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured, logical approach to process decomposition
• Excellent communication skills able to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments
• Collaborative mindset with experience working across cross-functional teams
