About the role
HireArt is helping our client hire a motivated, entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support the daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our delivery robots. This part-time and weekend-based role is the perfect starting point for individuals looking to build a career in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly. You will ensure our fleet is ready for deployment while learning foundational skills needed to advance in our rapidly growing industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment
- Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness
- Cleaning robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware
- Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet
- Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet
- Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team
- Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation
- Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team
Requirements
- Comfortable working in varied field environments
- Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely
- Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred experience
- General computer literacy
- Introductory background or interest in electric vehicle (EV) service, automotive repair, or electronics
Commitment
This is a part-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It is onsite and available to candidates local to the Bowling Green, OH area.
