(Roadtex) Customer Service Rep.
About the role
As part of the Customer Service department at Echo, you will play a key role in ensuring that Echo's customers and partners receive world-class customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to support a Customer Sales Representative (or a team of Customer Sales Reps) in their day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and provide prompt assistance
- Work with vendors to obtain necessary information and documents
- Perform data entry and build loads for a dedicated sales account
- Update shipment statuses in Echo's internal system and communicate updates to the appropriate parties
- Contact partner carriers for time-sensitive information and update Echo's internal system accordingly
- Assist customers with shipment tracking when possible
- Maintain a team email queue and fulfill requests promptly, using excellent communication skills
- Resolve issues with relevant decision-making skills and communicate proactively to the client to ensure problems are resolved quickly
- Add value to the department by maintaining a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to delivering world-class customer service
- Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and shipping facilities
Qualifications
- Team player attitude, both within the department and with Echo employees across the organization
- Strong multitasking skills
- An eagerness to expand knowledge of Echo and the Transportation and Logistics industry
- Receptive to new ideas and opportunities
- Comfortable working with new technology software and competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet navigation
