Road and Bridge Construction Inspector
Responsibilities
- Document management and electronic processing of field reports, technical data, Pre-Activity meetings, and materials test reports.
- Daily document control and management of contract documents.
- Prepare meeting agendas and minutes for distribution.
- Prepare and process RFI’s, submittals, progress pay applications, extra work billings, and contract change orders.
- Support CM project managers with coordination and scheduling of field activities.
- Copy, edit, and proofread proposals.
- Develop marketing materials, proposal content, and qualification packages; create presentations for CM pursuit interviews.
- Aid in processing CM group invoicing.
- May coach and/or guide a subordinate group.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years prior road and/or bridge construction inspection experience.
- HS diploma required.
- NJDOT project experience preferred.
- OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred.
- NJSAT, ACI Field Grade I Technician, ACI-CCTC and Rutgers TCC certifications preferred.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
- Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
- Ability to repetitively stoop, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 25 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Pay
The projected hourly range for this position is $40.00-$65.00. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NJ only.
