Construction Inspector

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the Engineer’s on-site representative and liaison to the contractor.
• Observe all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Verify field measurements and quantities, document daily quantities, materials, and resource usage.
• Maintain accurate and detailed daily inspection reports, including notes on progress, issues, non-conformance, and weather conditions.
• Record and report field data daily.
• Identify and communicate construction issues to the project engineer and/or manager.
• Use ACC Build or similar platforms for digital field documentation.

Basic Requirement

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites.
• The ability to work in a full-time, field-based role.

Preferred Qualifications

• A certificate or degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Prior experience with AutoCAD, iOS-based construction apps, or ACC Build is advantageous.
• Three or fewer years of relevant construction observation or inspection experience.
• A strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

TARGET SALARY RANGE: $55K - $70k (per year)

This is a full-time, field-based position that will support ongoing and upcoming construction projects by providing quality assurance and documentation throughout all phases of construction.
